Is Global Warming Really Happening?
The Earth's average surface temperature was between 13.8 . C to 14.0 . C around 100, 000 years ago until early 1800, but it rises to around 14.5 . C when year 2000 and continue to rise exponentially till now. At the same time, the concentration of CO2 rises from 290 ppm ( year 1900 ) to 378 ppm ( year 2004 ).

Definition:
Global Warming is the rising of earth temperature that is due to greenhouse effect. Science of Global Warming:Before you understand what is global warming, first you need to understand what is greenhouse effect. Did you saw a greenhouse before? Do you know what is the function of greenhouse? A greenhouse is use in agriculture section which can keep temperature in greenhouse constant so the vegetables inside will grow faster. Greenhouse is made of glass to trap heat, when sunlight shine into greenhouse, almost 100% of light and heat can pass through glass, part of the heat is absorbed by ground and the rest is reflect back, but glass is a special material that can prevent radiation of heat from greenhouse, this makes temperature of greenhouse will remain constant for almost all the day. Same theory applies to our living planet, but greenhouse gases act as glass in greenhouse which can trap heat from being escaped from earth. This will warm our planet like in greenhouse |

Human Activities that Contribute to Global Warming- Burning Fossil Fuels
- Mining
- Agriculture
- Transportation
- Industry
- Deforestation
Burning Fossil FuelsFossil fuels are fuels made of organic matter such as coal, oil and natural gas. A greenhouse gases called carbon dioxide (CO2) will be given off as a by-product when burning the fossil fuels. As carbon dioxide play an important role in warming the earth, burning fossil fuels is the main causes that contribute to global warming. |
